Harri Davies
Founder & Director
Harri founded Sea Country Solutions in 2020 to foster meaningful management outcomes by connecting scientists, NGOs, communities, and policymakers.
Harri has over a decade of experience collaborating with Traditional Owners and community groups to help them achieve their ocean management goals.
Harri’s key skills include designing two-way research and management, cultural mapping and values documentation, conservation planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Sahira Bell, PhD
Senior Scientist - Marine ecology and monitoring
Sahira is a marine ecologist specialising in the design and implementation of monitoring programs and two-way research to deliver conservation outcomes. She has over 10 years of experience partnering with NGOs, governments and local communities to design programs that are scientifically robust, cost effective, and genuinely integrate community through capacity building and training.
She specialises in delivering critical ecological research focused on benthic (incl. seagrass, macroalgae and benthic invertebrates) and finfish communities, and has key skills in Underwater Visual Census, Stereo-Video and Remotely Operated monitoring techniques, as well as the advanced statistical analysis skills to interpret these datasets.

Rebecca Weeks, PhD
Senior Scientist - Planning and Policy
Rebecca has more than 15 years experience providing decision support for marine and coastal ecosystem management. She has partnered with academia, NGOs and local communities to develop conservation plans for locations across the Asia-Pacific region.
Rebecca is skilled at translating scientific concepts into tangible conservation strategies that incorporate local ecological knowledge and customary management practices. Her key expertise includes designing marine protected area networks and complementary fisheries management strategies.

Mindy Tan
Business Manager
Mindy is a business administrator with a multifaceted background in business management. Her experiences include general and operational management, personal finance, event and emergency management and hospitality consultancy.
Mindy’s key skills and expertise include financial management and strategic planning, operational efficiency, process optimisation, resource management, human resources management, contract administration, regulatory and compliance knowledge and business development.
Her deep respect for country and cultural connections is integral to her role at SCS, where she continues to learn alongside the team.

Shannon is an environmental scientist and a Wadandi custodian who specialises in incorporating cultural knowledge into management.

Cocos (Keeling) Islands - Fisheries Ranger
Shak is passionate about marine life, conservation, policing and enjoys working closely with researchers to gain scientific knowledge and continue to learn more about marine life.
Key skills and expertise include: data collection and marine research support, local knowledge of Cocos marine life, marine operations (Coxswains certificate)

Osman (Ossie) Macrae is a proud Cocos local. He brings to this role a deep-rooted passion for community engagement and a genuine love for our precious marine environment.
Previously working as a Tour Operator at Cocos Eco Tours, this is Ossie's first venture into the world of marine research and data collection.
